The Coordinator will join a dynamic and rapidly growing digital fundraising program, implementing efforts to acquire, renew and retain WETA donors via email deployment, website management, email list hygiene management, and other digital channels in coordination with the Digital Fundraising Associate, other Digital Fundraising Coordinator and Senior Director, Direct Response Fundraising. The Digital Fundraising Coordinator will report to the Senior Director, Direct Response Fundraising.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Configure and deploy recurring email cultivation, stewardship and engagement communications, and direct solicitations in eCRM platform.
  • Maintain digital communications calendar, build project timelines, and collaborate with Associate to execute corresponding fundraising efforts.
  • Manage backend digital fundraising needs, including source code requests and implementation, donation form updates, thank you gift fulfillment and event tracking.
  • Manage website updates through our link management platform Bl.ink.
  • Work with Senior Director and Digital Fundraising team to plan out, implement, and report on testing and segmentation strategies across email and multichannel campaigns.
  • Maintain email reporting document, email list hygiene and stay abreast of best data management practices.
  • Implement tests to increase donation form and email conversion rate, along with other digital fundraising opportunities. Coordinate implementation with Associate and vendors.
  • Manage data needs for vendors and internal resources as necessary.
  • Report on and provide analysis of campaign results and key performance indicators on the email file, using eCRM and our donor database on a regular basis.
  • Manage and compile data for annual benchmarks reporting.
  • Manage annual Fiscal Year turnover website updates.
  • Coordinate with the team to manage digital fundraising deliverables.
  • Support digital fundraising efforts to acquire, renew and retain WETA members.
  • Desired: Utilize graphic design skills to edit and design email and website graphics.
  • Perform related technical and other special projects or other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Strong organizational, project planning, and time management skills with careful attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS coding or willingness to learn basic coding. Basic or intermediate knowledge preferred.
  • Graphic design skills desired.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders using tact and discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and problem solve in areas related to direct responsibilities while working effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully perform in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of digital fundraising tools in support of multi-channel fundraising program.
  • Ability to generate and maintain digital tracking and analytic reports in Excel.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • One to two years of experience in digital fundraising, direct response fundraising or marketing is preferred, but not essential.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

WETA and NewsHour Productions are Washington, DC established media and news organizations. We are a largely local workforce based out of the Campbell Place office in Arlington, VA. WETA and NewsHour Productions value employee flexibility when possible. Most positions based in our Arlington, VA office will be onsite or hybrid, depending upon the role.
