YOUR POSITION WITH TNC

The Membership Audience Manager develops, creates and implements plans that increase the long-term value of Membership donor and known leads aligned with the strategic priorities of the Membership department. The Manager is responsible for implementing omni-channel marketing strategies to grow donor base and build lifetime value of donors across Membership. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Membership Audience Manager provides project management for the creation and maintenance of audience strategies, campaign strategies, budgeting tools, detailed cost and revenue reporting templates, debrief meetings, annual planning, cross-departmental planning meetings, and other deliverables the Audience Team requires. They assist and support the broader Audience Team in developing and implementing strategies to maximize the long-term value of donors and converting known leads. The Manager creates and maintains business documentation specific to the Audience Team. They implement operational delivery of branding principles whether applied internally or outbound. They utilize tools provided by the Strategic Analytics team to provide regular performance reporting and insights to key audience and campaign stakeholders. The Manager collaborates with field business units to ensure alignment in campaign strategies and partners with internal stakeholders and coordinates with Conservancy business units, including colleagues in Membership, various field units, and Global Digital, to lead collaborations which achieve Membership goals. They help to vet new vendors and projects that would further audience strategy goals. The Manager supports day-to-day relationships with third party vendors and agencies and project manages contract processes, communications expectations, document management and deliverable deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE

  • Manage and serve as team lead on assigned projects.
  • Does not supervise any staff but may manage work of peers on departmental project teams.
  • Manage assigned budget, evaluate results and develop recommendations for corrective strategies as needed.  
  • Responsibility and accountability for meeting project goals and objectives.
  • Resolves complex issues independently within program area.
  • Opportunity to act independently within program goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum 7 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Experience managing client and account relationships.  
  • Experience implementing, and managing multiple complex projects.
  • Experience negotiating agreements.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Multi-lingual skills appreciated.
  • Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred.
  • Ability to self-motivate, set objectives and manage complex team projects requiring input from multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience writing, editing and proofreading.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong strategic instincts, including the ability to create and use data to guide decision making.
  • Proven project management skills, including the ability to track and manage multiple deliverable deadlines, dependencies and status updates.
  • Experience managing a budget and a robust set of KPIs.
  • Skilled in using Excel.
  • Experience leading in a team-based environment with internal and/or external partners OR experience cultivating and managing vendor relationships.
  • Experience applying marketing principles on projects/programs OR strong knowledge of current and evolving trends in relevant marketing disciplines OR Nonprofit, electoral, and/or digital agency experience preferred.
  • Experience working with CMS/CRM technology OR experience working with digital marketing technologies used to create and deliver email, landing pages, ads, and SMS OR experience working with tools for web testing and web analytics, as well as marketing campaign reporting suites.

Salary Range: $66,000 - $92,000, varies by location
