Bible Passages that have Influenced My Ministry as a Fundraiser

Andy joined the Lutheran High School Association of Greater Milwaukee 9 years ago, now known as We Teach Truth Lutheran Education (WTT). In that time, WTT successfully completed more than 60 different capital projects ranging from $5,000 to $6.5 million, expanded the donor base, grew major gifts, implemented a robust online giving program, and added more than 100 planned gifts. In December of 2022, WTT launched the Silent Phase of a 5-year $70 million Lives Forever Changed Comprehensive Campaign focus primarily on unrestricted giving, foundation growth, planned gifts, and capital projects.
Prior to joining WTT, Andy spent 11 years in Advancement at Concordia University Wisconsin holding several roles including Director of Planned Giving, Director of Major Gifts, and AVP of Advancement. During his years at CUW, he concentrated on capital funding for athletic fields, and foundation growth through planned giving and creating Restricted Funds. Prior to fundraising, Andy worked for 7 years in the financial services industry in the Chicago area. He is a product of Lutheran education kindergarten through graduate school completing a BA in Education and a MS in Administration from Concordia University.
He has a passion for helping others within the fundraising profession, especially those who find themselves in a fund-raising role by necessity at smaller institutions.
Andy has been married to Jenni for 35 years. Their daughter Mikayla is an NYC-based theater performer, and their son works in sales in Milwaukee. His current hobbies include ancestry, the ukulele, learning the guitar, rehabbing a cottage, riding a 2001 Harley Softail in the summer and upland bird hunting in the winter. He is bad at golf, but it has not affected his ability to raise money.
