Lexington, MA (Remote)

The Production Artist is responsible for preparing accurate, print-ready mechanicals for direct mail campaigns supporting nonprofit clients. This role focuses on production execution, versioning, and quality control to ensure all creative assets meet technical specifications and agency standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Build and finalize print-ready files for letters, envelopes, reply forms, buckslips, brochures, and full direct mail packages. 
  • Apply versioning, client edits, and variable data requirements accurately across multiple segments. 
  • Ensure all files meet printer specifications, including bleeds, dielines, color profiles, and postal guidelines. 
  • Conduct thorough preflight checks and implement edits with precision. 
  • Maintain organized file structures, templates, and naming conventions. 
  • Collaborate with designers, copywriters, account managers, and production vendors to support smooth workflow and timely delivery. 
  • Prepare mockups and presentation-ready files as needed. 

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of production art experience in direct mail, print production, or an agency environment. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign; working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop. 
  • Strong understanding of print production processes, color management, and mechanical file preparation. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fastpaced environment. 

Proficiency in the Following Required: 

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) 
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Digital advertising, social media advertising and email specs 

Remote/On-site work: This position is remote. NNE’s corporate headquarters is in Lexington, MA, with an emphasis on East Coast time. Occasional travel to MA will be required.
