In a world focused on short-term results, Catholic (Christian) fundraisers are called to cultivate something deeper and more enduring. Rooted in John 15, this reflection explores development work as a spiritual vocation—one that requires patience, trust, and fidelity to mission. Together we will consider how our daily efforts can bear fruit that lasts not only in institutions, but in souls.


Chad McEachern is the President & CEO of the Edmundite Missions, a Catholic poverty services organization founded in Selma, Alabama in 1937. Chad joined the Missions in 2008 and became its first lay President in 2012.  He is a former Chair of the National Catholic Development Conference and currently services as a Trustee of the National Catholic Community Foundation, Trustee of St. Michael's College, Chairman of the Board of the Wallace Community College Foundation, and Chairman of the Steering Committee of the U.S. Attorney’s Weed and Seed Committee for Dallas County. Chad has received numerous national and local awards and recognition for his work in Catholic philanthropy and innovative approach to poverty services. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from St. Michael’s College, studied theology at Saint Bonaventure University and Washington Theological Union, and earned a certificate in Catholic Non-Profit Management and Leadership from Notre Dame University.

Join us for Spiritual Connection, a monthly virtual gathering designed to uplift your spirit, foster meaningful connections, and provide a moment of peace in your busy schedule. 

On the first Friday of each month, take a 30-minute break from your busy schedule to nourish your spirit. Designed for members of the Christian Development Council (CDC), this virtual gathering provides a unique opportunity to explore faith-based topics that inspire, uplift, and connect us all. Topics focus on personal growth, spiritual enrichment, and building a sense of unity. From current events to devotional pieces, health tips to passages from inspiring books, our speakers share their passions, creating space for meaningful reflection and connection. 

What to Expect:

  • Motivating Speakers: Each month, a featured speaker will share their wisdom and passion on a topic relevant to our spiritual lives.
