Status: Regular, Exempt, Full-Time
Salary Rate: $60,000 - $65,000
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Revenue Processing Associate performs timely, efficient and accurate processing of fundraising revenue to meet the needs of WETA’s fundraising and accounting operations. The role functions as a key member of the central processing hub of all fundraising revenue streams that drives WETA’s 24-hour business cycle. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented position that impacts multiple fundraising teams. Additional responsibilities include financial reconciliation, reporting, fulfilling audience services requests and trouble-shooting data anomalies. The Associate will also serve as back-up support for Revenue Operations staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Primary point of contact for in-house check processing including deposit prep, coding, batching and reporting.
- Reconcile daily direct mail processing remote deposit batch input files from caging vendor.
- Liaison to Accounts Receivable team for:
- Caging vendor journal reporting and reconciliation.
- In-house revenue journal reporting and reconciliation.
- Primary point of contact for refund processing and Audience Services requests for donor account updates.
- Performs monthly donor account updates to reconcile deposit rejects and bank adjustments.
- Processes third-party charitable giving monthly contributions in accordance to Membership, Major Giving, National Productions and Corporate Underwriting guidelines.
- Performs weekly sustainer pledge maintenance via CRM task management tools.
- Assists in processing of Credit Card/EFT gifts, pledges, upgrades and cancellations.
- Performs weekly quality control protocols in database as needed.
- Assure accurate labeling and archiving of secure storage files.
- Edit and maintain documentation of role specific operational procedures and guidelines.
- Perform related special projects or other duties as assigned.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of non-profit contribution workflow and financial close timeline required.
- Ability to identify and differentiate between IRA and Donor Advised Fund payment methods.
- Knowledge of credit card and EFT standard operating guidelines.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of computer technology to accomplish work using Microsoft Office applications, email, internet and relational database management software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a deadline driven environment.
- Must be detail-oriented with the ability to accurately self-check.
- Demonstrated understanding of troubleshooting unreconcilable items.
- Ability to communicate data errors back to end users and recommend viable solutions to management.
- Excellent organizational, information management and time management skills.
- Strong desire to learn and stay current with technology, tools and industry best practice procedures.
- •Maintains data privacy, confidentiality, and security standards when handling sensitive donor information, financial records, and transactional data.
- CRM gift processing knowledge highly desired; experience with ROI Solutions (aka Revolution Online) is a plus.
- Experience constructing batch data files, mapping and uploading into CRM systems is highly desired.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-4 years of workforce experience in the non-profit industry preferably within a multi-channel fundraising environment.
- Financial bookkeeping knowledge; basic Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
- General knowledge and experience of data tagging, mapping and documentation processes.
- Very strong interpersonal and communications (including verbal and written) skills and cultural competencies; underscored by strong emotional intelligence.
- Proven ability to balance independent work and team collaboration simultaneously.
- College degree, or combination of education and experience.
- Availability to work during calendar year end giving season (Holidays between December 26 – January 1)
- Interest in Public Media industry fundraising logistics and strategies
