Primary Responsibilities
Product Vision & Strategy:
- Develop and articulate a clear, innovative product vision aligned with GlobalGiving's mission and growth objectives.
- Translate market insights, user research, and emerging trends into a robust product roadmap.
User-Centered Innovation:
- Lead research efforts to deeply understand the needs of our nonprofit partners, donors, and staff, ensuring our platform and products meet their evolving expectations.
- Champion a user-first approach, ensuring that the online giving platform and our internal products are intuitive, accessible, and responsive to donor and staff needs.
- Leverage data analytics, user feedback, and industry best practices to optimize the donor journey and platform performance.
- Monitor and analyze competitive trends, technological advancements, and donor behaviors to keep the platform at the forefront of digital giving solutions.
- Experiment with new features, tools, and functionalities that enhance donor engagement and fundraising efficiency.
Technology & Platform Development:
- Oversee product development and roadmap execution, working closely with engineering, UX/UI design, and data teams to ensure seamless, timely, and impactful product experiences.
- Manage budget and resource allocation for product initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and financial sustainability.
Data-driven Decision Making:
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) to inform product development and drive continuous improvement.
- Regularly report on product performance and strategic impact to executive leadership and the board
Scalability & Growth:
- Identify opportunities for expanding GlobalGiving's product offerings, driving engagement, and enhancing platform sustainability.
- Support fundraising efforts for tech and product investment through co-development of vision with the CEO and the Executive team, leadership on new product concepts, providing content for proposals and pitches, including detailed budget and use cases, and participating in meetings where needed.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Collaborate with marketing, growth, and program teams to ensure product-market fit and drive adoption.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team including product managers, UX/UI designers, engineers, and data analysts.
- Foster a collaborative, agile culture that values innovation and continuous learning.
Required Qualifications
For our team to be a great fit for you, the following qualifications should resonate with you:
- 12+ years proven experience in product management with at least 5 years in a senior product leadership role (preferably as a VP of Product or equivalent).
- Demonstrated success scaling digital platforms in the nonprofit social impact or philanthropic sectors.
- Track record of successful partnership with engineering lead and teams to execute and deliver on product vision and roadmap.
- Experience creating and leading go-to-market strategies for new products.Strong analytical abilities, including experience with build/buy analysis.
- Experience with marketplace, crowdfunding, or fundraising technology platforms is strongly preferred.
- A passionate belief in the mission of GlobalGiving and a commitment to our core values.
Preferred Qualifications
In addition, the ideal candidate would also have some or all of the following qualifications:
- Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of agile methodologies, UX/UI best practices, and modern product development processes.
- Excellent knowledge of IT operations and experience guiding business leaders to make sound decisions on IT investment and prioritization.
- Customer-centric mindset with an understanding of software product management and UX design best practices and processes.
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms, mobile-first design, and current digital fundraising technologies, preferably for a global user base.
- Proficiency in using data analytics tools to inform product strategy and measure performance.
- Experience overseeing product development using Agile software methodologies and bringing that discipline into an organization.
- Strong technical background with domain-specific experience in improving and modernizing digital products across a broad range of technologies (e.g., web applications, eCommerce, mobile, desktop, SaaS, multi-side marketplaces, APIs, and other integration technologies).
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and juggle competing priorities.

Salary + Benefits
Salary range: $200k - 250k

Location
This is a U.S. remote full-time position reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.
